Liquid calcium chloride (35%) is principally used as a dust agent on gravel roads. When applied on a freshly leveled road, its hygroscopic¹ properties allows the capture of moisture in the air and helps retain dust which greatly reduces the loss of aggregates and increases safety.

Liquid calcium chloride is also used in water treatment, for de-inking, as a liquid impact energy attenuator and in other industrial processes.

Conversion

• 1 metric ton (77% flakes) = 1,630 liters (35% liquid);
• 1 metric ton (83-87% flakes) = 1,795 liters (35% liquid).
