Handling and transformation

Servichem Inc. handling and transformation services include transloading, bagging, sifting and our capacity to mix dry products.

Transloading

Our versatile facilities provide access to over 10,000 feet (3,000 meters) of rail siding capable of receiving up to 60 rail cars. Our unloading infrastructure allows a total of over 5,000 tons of cargo to be transloaded daily. Six unloading areas, 3 scales (inspected and validated by Weights and Measures Canada) and our intermodal connections by water, rail (CP and CN by interchange) and road circuit are available and provide direct access to your cargo or use of our parallel services such as bagging, palletizing and warehousing.

Our expertise allows us to handle any type of cargo whether in solid or liquid bulk form. Moreover, our highly secure facilities and competent staff guarantee safe and efficient handling.

Bagging

We are equipped to handle bagging of free flowing substances (chemicals, fertilizers, etc…). Our flexible facilities include: two silos of 175 tons and three of 100 tons, eight bagging units, elevators with self-cleaning buckets, wrapping machines for either stretch or inextensible wrapping and a forming, filling and sealing bagging system.

Depending upon the type of product, it is possible to bag different bag sizes, either in kilograms or pounds. Formats vary from 5 to 40 kg or from 10 to 80 pounds.

Moreover, we possess an automatic palletizing system with stacking from above including a bottom coating paper applicator, inkjet printer, weight-controlling conveyor and a sealing unit.

Sifting and mixing

Servichem Inc. possesses the necessary equipment for sifting, drying and mixing dry products as per specifications provided.
